Register to Vote
If you have recently moved to the Town of Liberty Grove or you have changed your address (at least 28 consecutive days prior to the election) you will need to register to vote.
- Come to the Town Office with your Photo ID and a proof of residence document (only if your ID does not have your current/correct address).
- Complete this application and mail it to the Town Office with copies of your Photo ID and a proof of residence document (only if your ID does not have your current/correct address).
- Go to MyVote and click "Register to Vote" to complete the application process.

Request a Ballot to be mailed to you
- ONLINE: Visit https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/
- Click the “Vote Absentee” icon
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth and click search
- Click "Request Absentee Ballot"
- Follow the directions presented and complete the form
- EMAIL: send a copy of your Photo ID to [email protected] with the following information
- Your Full Legal Name - as stated on your Drivers license
- Your physical Liberty Grove address
- Date of the election(s) for which you would like to receive a ballot
- The address where the ballot should be mailed
The deadline to request to receive a ballot by mail is 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday immediately before an election. The following are the 2021 deadlines:
- April 1st is the deadline for the April 6th election
To ensure that your ballot is received at the polling place (Town Hall) by election day, it is recommended that you submit your request as early as possible.
Returning your Absentee ballot
After you have voted your ballot, and followed the instructions provided to complete the certification, you may return the ballot in one of the following ways:
- Mail it to the Town Office
- Bring your ballot to the Town Office during normal regular hours. You may ONLY return YOUR ballot to an authorized Town Representative. Ballots put into drop boxes will be rejected.
- Bring your ballot to the polling place on Election Day. You may ONLY return YOUR ballot to an authorized Election Inspector or Town Representative. Ballots put into drop boxes will be rejected.
All ballots must be returned by 8:00pm on Election Day unless a different deadline is by the Wisconsin Elections Commission for a particular election.

Voting at Town Meetings
Are you a qualified elector who can vote at a town meeting?
Any qualified elector can vote at a town meeting. See State Statutes 60.14 & 6.02 and 6.10. You will be asked to declare your permanent residence. If your permanent residence is not Liberty Grove you will be asked if you have been at your Liberty Grove residence for 10 days prior to the Special Town meeting. If you have you are a qualified elector and can vote. If you have not been here for 10 consecutive days you cannot vote. Your Liberty Grove property must have a dwelling on it that you have lived in. You will be asked to sign in and register your intent to vote.
Running for Town Board Chairman or Supervisor
Download the and complete the following forms and bring them to the Town office:
EL-162 - Declaration of Candidacy: The first day to circulate nomination papers (EL-162 & CF-1) is December 1, 2024 and the final day for filing nomination papers in the office of the Town Clerk/Treasurer is 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7 2025.
EL-169 - Nomination Paper for Nonpartisan Office You will need at least 20 signatures from persons at least 18 years of age residing within the Town of Liberty Grove.
EL-163 - Notification of Noncandidacy: The last day for incumbents, not seeking reelection, to file Notification of Non-Candidacy (EL-163) is 5:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024.
Nomination papers and other required forms may be obtained from the Clerk/Treasurer office weekday between 8:30am to 1:00PM (11161 Old Stage Road, Sister Bay), on the Town website, www.libertygrovewi.gov/links, or at www.elections.wi.gov.
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on the third Tuesday of February 2025, being the eighteenth day of said month.
